We use a mechanical rather than a chemical method to etch patterns, pictures, logos, and sometimes even simple photographs onto your parts. Highly detailed pictures are not recommended because of the small size of the surface area available. As with our other services we can try to find graphics for you, or you can send us your own on paper or a computer graphics file.
Above is a handlebar stem that was found in the junk bin of a local bicycle shop. It was cleaned up and buffed before etching the Colnogo® logo on the side and the clover on the front. The original logo for the manufacturer was stamped deeply into the back of the horizontal part of the stem and conflicted with the design and was removed by milling the depressed slot that you see now.
